Skate land
I took all three kids to skateland on Tuesday...Avery's school has skate parties once a month but we haven't gone that often because the logistics are just a little tough! However, ave has been practicing with her OLD princess skates-over-shoes around the house. She's gotten pretty good/confident so I felt good about not having to try and hold her hand the whole time. Lincoln decided he wanted to skate too, and they both did AWESOME!!!! They were all over the place...even making a train, "wiping out" during a game and they both tried the limbo! Ave is just too darn tall so she was out right away, but Lincoln made it a few rounds! It was hilarious because he was the youngest on skates by about three years!! Me and hen had fun watching the skaters, the lights, and dancing to the music. All in all it was SO much fun!!
By the way, the little girl holding Lincoln's hand is NOT Avery! She's in kindergarten, and loved Linc! It was too cute!

Bath time
We had so much fun playing outside today!!! It was gorgeous weather and after living here almost a year now (one year on the 26th) we FINALLY met some neighbors! Turns out there are a ton of kids on our street and in the houses that back up to us! Apparently you just have to overcome a year of solitude before they invite you to the neighborhood? Who knows but it was fun! And what better way to finish a fun day than with a bubble bath!

what a week
we had a whirlwind of a week! Some happy and some heartbreaking moments. Over the weekend we stayed at the Sheraton on the Plaza and attended my sister-in-laws wedding. The weather was gorgeous, the kids were fabulously well behaved, and the wedding was perfect. We got to swim in the hotel and spend time with family. It was great!
However, before we left on Friday, we had a terrible Thursday. Our wonderful, beautiful, dog, Pikey got suddenly very sick and we had to put her down. It was tragic and heartbreaking and our family is still reeling with unbelief. Pike was the very best dog that anyone could have ever asked for. She was my little mini-mom always making sure that the kiddos were safe and sound. She followed me every night when they were babies and got up for every feeding. She licked their toes and made them giggle. She let the big kids walk her around and was ever so patient with them. She was perfect and we will desparately miss her.

Video monitor
I LOVE our video monitor!!!! I really debated whether or not we needed one when Henry was born, and now I can honestly say that EVERYONE needs one! They are fabulous! Kevin thinks it is an invasion of your privacy, but I love watching your little sleepy half awake moments. I love when you kiss you monkey over and over and giggle at yourself. I love watching you hide under your blanket only to play peekaboo alone. And I love watching you and Lincoln giggle at at each other before you fall asleep!
