Best portrait I've ever had!!! What a fabulous little girl I have, and such attention to detail. Note the bun in my hair, pieces of hair by ears that have fallen down, red zip soccer jacket, black stretch pants, and my black and pink shoes! Guess she knows me well.

Summertime

Today was our first real day of summer vacation to try out our new schedule and see how the chores go! So far it has been working wonderfully and everybody woke up so excited to do their chores and mark them off that it was hard to make them wait until after breakfast!

Baby news

We are happy to announce that we are expecting baby Waters #4 on November 20!

beach vacation

we spent a fantastic week in Destin, Florida! the kids LOVED the beach and it was so fun to see them each get to enjoy the waves, the sand, and the extra time with family. we met my parents and brother and sister in law there, and got to spend the whole week playing at the beach. the weather was questionable at best...we had 25 mph winds and temps in the low 70s :(...but the kids didn't seem to care! We still swam and froze, and played and froze, and played some more.

Lincoln was a good sport too...Hen was fine, but he was the wrong age to enjoy multiple flights and a two hour lay over :(

Hen liked the sand more than the waves, but learned how to run from them with big bro and sis

Sorry snowy friends

Sorry snow bound friends and family back in the Kansas City area, but this is our view from the roof deck of our fabulous beach vacation....definitely not sad we missed the snow!!!!
