Sick...

So I finally discoverd when it makes a HUGE difference if you have 2 kids or 3...and that is when they all get sick at once. Having two sick children is somehow manageable, only two noses to blow, lips to Vaseline, medicine to administer, pillowcases to change, juice boxes and water bottles to distribute, etc. However, when you do all of that times three it seems like a never ending cycle. We have all had a cold for the past several weeks and just when I thought we were finally going to get over it, it got worse. Henry, Lincoln and Avery's colds turned into sinus infections with goopy eye gunk so they are all on antibiotics and eye drops (YUCK) and I was lucky enough to get mastitis...AGAIN! I have never had it this far along in the nursing process, but it is just as bad. Today is the first day I actually feel like a human again *now that my temperature is no longer in the 103 range!* And poor Kevin, he never really caught the cold, funny how dads miss out, but he had to take care of us all the last two days...he helped me get the house in order (it looked like a Kleenex box exploded) and more importantly found us a GREAT pediatrician down here (I know, we've lived here for 6 months and I still hadn't found one...) and helped me take all three kids there, fill out the new patient crap, take turns getting checked out and then proceeded to take us to Walgreens to pick up all 6 prescriptions (3 antibiotics, 3 eye drops). We definitely owe him something special, but for now I think he'll settle for having his healthy family back...here's to hoping we can get rid of this snot for good!
